Colorado Elopement Photographer and Guide

Helping you create the epic day your love story deserves.

Intimate • Unforgettable • True to Your Values

The wedding day your love story deserves.

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. Shouldn’t it reflect all the things that are most important to you?

Even though many people love the idea of a big, traditional wedding, it’s definitely not right for everyone. And no one should feel forced to have a big wedding if it’s not what they want!

Instead, imagine having the luxury to design a wedding that truly represents who you are. You CAN! And I’m here to help as your Colorado Elopement Photographer and Guide.

If the stress and pressure of having a big wedding is getting to you…

Or if you are just looking for a wedding day that is more unique and authentic…

An elopement or microwedding might be just right for you!

Your relationship is unique.
Your special day should be too.

What is an elopement?

When some people think of the word “elopement,” they picture a couple sneaking away in the night to wed under questionable circumstances. Thankfully, the definition of eloping is changing!

Today, an elopement is just another word for a smaller, intentionally thought-out wedding.

When you have an intentionally-thought out wedding, YOU get to decide what’s important, instead of just accepting the norm without question.

Not the big wedding industry. Not anyone else. You get to choose how to spend one of the most important days of your life.

Can I elope with family and friends?

Yes, of course! It’s your wedding day–you can do whatever you want to do!

Whether you want your elopement to include just you two or 20 of your closest friends and family, it’s your day, so you get to make the rules!

If eloping sounds amazing, but there’s no way you could get married without your loved ones, there are so different many ways to include them. Check out this free guide with ideas for including family and friends in your elopement. Or get in touch and we can chat all about it!

Ready to plan an experience you'll never forget?

Less stress. More fun.

No regrets.

Why does having an intentional wedding matter?

Imagine 20 or 30 years from now, looking back on your wedding day. What is the story you want to tell?

Your wedding ceremony–and the day you commit to your partner for the rest of your lives–should be an intimate and authentic experience for the two of you.

It’s a day that should be about the love and commitment you have for one another. And it’s a day that should reflect who you really are as a couple.

Anything else is just noise. And sometimes that noise can distract us from what’s important.

How many times have you heard a friend say how the stress of their wedding is killing them? Or how they can’t wait for their wedding day to be done? Or even how their wedding day was a total blur because it went by so fast?

But it doesn’t have to be that way! You DO have a choice! Instead…you can choose excitement over pressure and drama! You can make the brave decision to choose real, intimate moments. It may not be easy, but it will be worth it.

A wedding that is authentically you and anything but ordinary.

What will my adventure elopement look like?

Now imagine…

Think about the most amazing day you could possibly have with your partner. What does it look like?

Are you running barefoot through the woods or hiking up a Colorado mountain at sunrise? Is it warm outside or is there a cool breeze? Are you having an intimate, rustic-style picnic for two, or are you toasting beers and roasting marshmallows around a campfire with your best friends and closest family?

Now that is a day to remember.

And this is what your wedding day can look like! Sounds pretty amazing right?

Together, we can create your epic wedding day around your vision. Or, if you’re not quite sure what that is, we can come up with one together!

And of course, we’ll capture these memories so they’ll last a lifetime! You only get to do this once–let’s create an experience you’ll never forget!

Looking for a photographer that just gets you?

Hello, I’m Kim, a Colorado elopement photographer with a passion for adventure and photography.

I started Wild and Found Photography because I want to empower couples to celebrate the big moments in their relationship in a way that reflects who they really are.

It’s what drives me and inspires my photography. And it’s what I’d like to do for you.

Everything about your special day should feel right to you.
That includes the photographer!

What makes you different from other Colorado elopement photographers?

Based on my experience, especially with elopements and microweddings, couples need more than just a photographer.

If you are eloping, you may not have a venue coordinator or wedding planner helping you think through logistics. Your Colorado elopement photographer might be the only professional you have to help with finding the perfect location, working through a timeline, or any number of other questions you have while planning your wedding.

And all this stuff is just simply not part of what most photographers do.

In fact, with some Colorado wedding photographers, after you book them you may not hear from them again for months and months. You pay them the deposit, and then it’s crickets. (Because it’s the wedding planner’s job to handle the details, after all!)

To me that is being “just a photographer.” When you work with me, I’m not just going to show up for the photos. I believe my clients deserve more than that.

That’s why I’m with my clients from start to finish. We’ll be in touch several times between your booking and your elopement day. You’ll never be in the dark as to what’s going on, and I’ll be here every step of the way.

What makes me different is that my number one goal is to be here for you–not just as your Colorado elopement photographer, but as your adventure partner, friend, and guide to the epic day your love story deserves.

What others have to say about their experience

Kim was incredible to work with! She was adventurous enough to meet my fiance and I at 6 a.m. in the Rockies to get an engagement session with natural lighting from the morning sun. We spent hours hiking the mountain while she gave us occasional direction for some spectacular shots. The entire session felt effortless! We had a blast, laughing the entire time.

Shortly after, we received the photos and OMG! We were blown away!!! Kim has such a natural eye for photography. We were looking for “trail running photos” and she was spot on! Kim took the time to get to know us and helped to show our personalities in the photos. We are so happy to have worked with her and would love to do so again soon.
